Allison’s Approach & Insights
Allison shared her philosophy, approach, and how PLT4M plays a role in her program. Here’s what she had to say:
Goals & Mission
“My overall goal when approaching students in health and physical education is to provide them with equal opportunities to practice and understand the importance of physical activity and mental and emotional health for maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
My overall goal when approaching athletes in after-school sports is also to provide a safe and positive learning environment for all athletes that challenges them to compete at their best level while promoting team building, communication, and sportsmanship.”

How I Use PLT4M
“We use PLT4M in a variety of classes ranging from beginner fitness and weight training classes to advanced strength training and movement-based courses.
In Fitness For Life, students learn the basics of lifting with proper form using Intro to Strength Training and Off-Season Training programs.
In Weight Training, students work toward improving lifts like deadlift, back squat, cleans, and bench press using 2-Day and 3-Day Off-Season programs.
In Movement Arts, students participate in yoga, aerobics, Pilates, flexibility, mobility, meditation, and stress management activities.
Our Intro to PE classes also use a variety of units including volleyball, tennis, yoga, and strength training so students can explore different activities before choosing electives later in high school.”
Why I Use PLT4M
“PLT4M is an all-in-one stop shop for physical education and health curriculum.
It provides a user-friendly and developmentally appropriate experience for students of all ages and skill levels while helping create equal learning opportunities for everyone.
The programs offer a wide variety of activities including indoor and outdoor lessons, track, and weight room sessions. I strongly recommend this program to any PE or health teacher or department head.”
Impact on My Program
“The biggest impact PLT4M has had is how easily accessible it is for our classes.
If a student forgets their device, we can easily put them in Rack View and share a device with a classmate, taking away the stress of not having technology available.
I also believe it provides a realistic and appropriate approach to each skill taught throughout the different programs.”
Favorite Feature
“My favorite feature is the easy access for both students and teachers. It is very user-friendly.
I also really appreciate the visual demonstrations before students perform skills or lifts. Those visuals provide clarity and additional support for the students who need it most.”
