Thal is the Head Physical Education Department Chair and Strength Coach at Manual High School with 15 years of experience. He oversees student fitness development, athletic performance, and wellness programming while helping lead the integration of PLT4M into the school’s physical education and strength programs.

Goals & MissionΒ 

β€œMy overall approach is centered on helping students understand the β€˜why’ behind health, fitness, and performance training so the process feels meaningful and personal to them.

I believe when students can connect what they are learning to their own goals and experiences, they are more likely to build lasting habits and continue those healthy behaviors throughout their lives.


My goal is to create an environment where fitness, wellness, and personal growth make sense for each individual student.”

How I Use PLT4M

β€œWe use PLT4M as the foundation of our strength and conditioning program, helping provide structure, consistency, and progression for our student-athletes.

We also use it in our Fit for Life classes, where students learn how health, wellness, and fitness apply to their everyday lives beyond sports and school.

The platform helps us teach lifelong habits and gives students practical ways to understand and apply fitness in a meaningful and sustainable way.”
