Molly is a former collegiate softball player and captain at Hope College. 3 year Student Assistant Coach for the Hope College Women’s Basketball program after playing for 1 year.
WHY PLT4M?
PLT4M has given me and my classroom the opportunity I have been looking for. Individual and immediate feedback is what I have struggled to piece together for all of my students. PLT4M has given me the chance to teach to the student not just a group. We have seen more personal growth through their log sets and personalized weight for each exercise.
WHY DO YOU WORK WITH STUDENTS?
Overall, it’s just plain fun and entertaining! To see the “ah ha” moment after working the foundational moments. My goal is to challenge my student athletes past their expectations. Yet, to let them find the joy of health and wellness in their lives.
ADVICE FOR YOUR YOUNGER SELF:
That if a student is confused they aren’t having fun. Explaining even simple movements can be fun when you change it up or challenge them through self competition or team competition. Always be open to learning from your student athletes because they will give you a different perspective.
