Description:
After building a foundation of nutrition education, students can begin to explore the more nuanced and advanced topics of nutrition. In Nutrition 101, we looked at both the basic science and practical applications of food; now, we tackle more specific topics in the form of ‘mini-series’.
In this series, students will first explore micronutrients and the basics of vitamins and minerals. Next, we take a look at hydration and pay special attention to sports drinks’ prominence in fitness and athletics. And finally, we break down ’emotional eating’ and how it affects students in both positive and negative times of our lives.
